I drew this for my Chinese teachers. I think it's cute when I get pictures from my students and I'm confident my teachers will be similairly elated, not to mention impressed

Have you ever wished you were born a tiger? I know I have

In small cities people will go to great lengths to entertain themselves. Who recognises this scene?

When I wore this suit 2 Chinese people asked me, "Tom, what's the matter with you?" I'd just taken a big dose of 'Cool Tonic', that's all. Check out this guys teeth

My costume isn't as good as theirs

"A good opium den? OK, you want to go straight up here and take a left...

Just wearing this singlet gave me a sore arse. I think maybe I look like Serena Williams

If you were to ask me, "Are those tassles?" I would reply, "Yes"

All I need is to get my boogie down,

Could you ask for a better Christmas present? You would think not...

No, those sweat patches aren't part of the costume

We love mail, so once again Tom b0tt0m@hotmail.com (0=zero) Tonamu tonamu@paradise.net.nz and Roy nigroy7@hotmail.com I am now living in China- write me an email- or better yet come and visit.
Good bye and all of my love

In the states you can buy these things called 40s. They are 40 ounce (1.186 litres) glass bottles of malt liquor- which is high alcohol beer. They taste pretty good and usually cost less than $2. It's a six pack in a bottle. We have fallen in love with them. They are the greatest things in the world. They are often sold in brown paper bags and hobos drink them.

This is sleater kinney at Lollapalooza. They were awesome

Kev. We got FREE LUNCH!!! SWEEEEEEEEET FREE LUNCH!!!

Good morning Martin. Put on some clothes. We stayed with Martin in Toronto.

Would you let this man i your house?

This made Tonamu's day. In fact it was by far and away the highlight of his trip

This guys banner read-

'Sweet Sweet Candy $1.19/lb'

This is Brian and Mihr. They hosted us in Vermont. They are rad

This is me with my fancy Italian made sunglasses. That's right mum- your not the only one with trendy eyewear

This is New York, kinda like Dunedin i guess

Wow. Cool

We went swimming here in Vermont. It was real sweet. No that isn't a girl with no top on- it's tonamu

This is me in my new kepi. It's the kind of hat that was popular during the civil war. Im directing canon fire on those godless yankee bastards

this was in richmond viginia. Tonamu was so excited he ran a red light in front of a cop to turn around and get a photo. totally worth it

We've been to some more cool places. We drove the tina turner highway to get to nutbush here. Tonamu got a hat from goobertown. The fantastic woman in the photograph worked at the grocery store, in front is her grandson caleb

Wow. Arrrrkansas rules. We saw these three righteous places- all in one day. First Prattsville, then Bald Knob, then Weiner. Ace

This additional chap is Drew. He introduced us to Jenna outside the pub. He is tops. This is them saying goodbye. They werent really as delighted as the picture suggests. I managed to lose our only car key the night before (plonker) and having paid US$65 for a replacement we were off. These are our 3 favourite Texans- after the family of hill-billies we met while swimming at the lake. They are my favourite people ever.

Then we went to Nacodoches, East Texas. We meet these two fantastic girls- Jenna and Valerie and they let us stay at their place for two nights. They like drinking and partying too. The other guy is their cowboy landlord Earl. He was real sweet.

We visit Palestine and see Gay Ave. Could this be the best day of our trip yet?

We head east from a town called Alpine. We realise we could make San Antonio by the evening and see one of our favourite singers Ozzy Osbourne perform at Ozzfest. We arrive there after about six hours driving and pay US$35 to get in. We suffer through Disturbed and an especially poor performance by System of a Down to see the stage being packed up and to be told that Ozzy played much earlier in the day. San Antonio is gay

Then we went to Texas and immediately visited the towns of Kermit and Wink. But for their names, these towns were shitholes

We visited the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. This is pretty sweet and there were heaps of formations that were shaped like doodles.

This is Roy departing Las Vegas airport. Good bye Roy.
Having trimmed the fat Tonamu and I are more dynamic than ever. We go East and Roy is quickly forgotten.

Then Roy and I wound up the night by singing the Spice Girls hit- 2 becomes 1 at an outdoor Karaoke bar. We recieved applause.
This was our theme song for the trip while Roy was here. Now he's gone and there is just two of us it's become a bit gay. So we have changed it to In His Kiss from Cher.
